Accessibility Statement

We want every patient, regardless of ability, to be able to find us, understand our care, and book an appointment.

Our Commitment

Recalibrate Performance and Rehab is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site, not an afterthought.

Conformance Target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Section 504 rule and commonly used as the benchmark in ADA Title III accessibility matters. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.

Measures We Have Taken

Recent work on this site included a full accessibility review and remediation pass covering, among other things:

  • A skip-to-content link, consistent landmark structure, and a single main heading on every page
  • Descriptive alternative text on informative images, and decorative images and icons hidden from assistive technology
  • Labeled, keyboard-operable forms with clear required-field and validation messaging
  • Strengthened, visible keyboard focus indicators sitewide, including inside the navigation menus and mobile menu
  • A keyboard focus trap and Escape-to-close behavior in the mobile navigation menu
  • Support for prefers-reduced-motion, so anyone who has asked their device to minimize motion sees content in its final state instantly, with animation skipped
  • Content that remains visible and readable if JavaScript does not load
  • Color and contrast review against WCAG AA thresholds across the site's light and dark sections

This is an ongoing process. We periodically re-test the site, including with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, as we add or change pages.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site rely on third-party tools we do not fully control:

  • Embedded Google Map. The map on our homepage and Contact page is a Google-hosted embed. If you have difficulty using it, our full address, phone number, and a text-based directions link are always provided next to it.
  • Elfsight Google Reviews widget. The patient review widget on our homepage is provided by a third party. If it is difficult to use with your assistive technology, the same reviews are visible on our Google Business Profile and on our Testimonials page.
  • Continuously animated elements. The scrolling patient-review wall and the "why patients choose us" ticker on the homepage move continuously and do not currently include an on-page pause control (both stop automatically if your device has "reduce motion" turned on). We are planning to add a visible pause control in a future design update.
